| PI's own piezo ceramic production allowed them to develop proprietary piezo-motor drives; PILine® ultrasonic linear motors, NEXLINE® and NEXACT®-Piezowalk-drives have been implemented successfully in many OEM applications. Compared to conventional drive concepts the integration effort is higher, so that we recommend a minimum annual quantity of >100units/year to start the evaluation of these motors. For smaller quantities we offer complete PILine stages including encoders, guiding and controllers.

The patented NEXACT® and NEXLINE® PiezoWalk®-Drives unify large (principally unlimited) travel ranges with high mechanical stiffness. Holding forces up to 600N and resolution in the pm range are possible. They have been honored with the SEMI TIS award.
